SALES & MARKETING: RICHARD LICATA – Page 3
Lizzadro Museum says goodbye to Elmhurst and hello to Oak Brook. After being located in Elmhurst since its opening in 1962, the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art has moved to Oak Brook, and Reebie was entrusted and honored to handle the move. The museum displays gemstone treasures, antiques to modern, with a blending of earth science exhibits. Lapidary is the art of cutting and polishing stones originally for tools and weapons. But in modern times it is used for jewelry. Since 1962, local schools from all over the Chicagoland area took field trips to the museum. I personally have fond memories visiting the museum as a kid. The museum out grew their existing facility in Elmhurst and Reebie moved them to newly renovated 34,000 square feet facility in Oak Brook at 1220 Kensington Road.
