OPERATIONS: JEFF ABBS – Page 6

We’ve experienced many challenges with business this year. Our sales team continues to work diligently on every lead in order to bring in as much quality business as possible. Opportunities are down, so we need to do everything we can to capitalize on the limited opportunities that become available to us. Many of our business lines are down this year, however we continue to perform strong in some areas. Our best performer so far is the Skyview Warehouse that is currently up around 23% for the year. Several areas of business are flat and the ones that are suffering the most are Office & Industrial and International. With that being said, we are still a profitable organization so let’s continue to work together and finish out the year strongly. Just as important, we have managed to keep our administrative expenses in check which will help our bottom line.

I want to take a moment to recognize two very special drivers, Frank Russell and Denis Robinson. Frank Russell won the Allied Van Lines “Driver of the Month” award for June. Denis Robinson won the North American Van Lines “Driver of the Moth” award for June as well. I don’t recall ever seeing a dual-branded agency winning both driver of the month awards in the past. They both worked very hard for this distinction and we are all very proud of their accomplishments. Both Frank and Denis are now eligible to win the annual “Driver of the Year” awards for their respective van line.

We just concluded Driver Appreciation week and I hope that everyone enjoyed all the bakery and lunches. I want to thank each and every one of our drivers and movers for the hard work and dedication they provide to our customers. We can’t do what we do without them.

I wanted to share a powerful quote:

“When gratitude becomes an essential part of our teamwork, our collaboration is natural and our successes are amplified.”

We should all be grateful for each other and what everyone does to contribute to our success. The more gratitude we feel and share, the more likely people will continue to work and grow together. Quite naturally that will lead us to find better success.

Sincerely,

Jeff
