OPERATIONS: JEFF ABBS – Page 6

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what our summer was going to look like this year.  The housing market is still struggling as interest rates remain unchanged.  The military conflicts occurring in Europe and the Middle East are creating global market uncertainty.  The discourses concerning tariffs and inflation have created a volatile market.  However, all of a sudden it seems that we might have an enjoyable peak season after all.  While our current financials show a loss in revenue at around 7% through May, we are working hard to even that out and June is shaping up to be a promising month for us and will hopefully bring us back into the black.

The overall quality of our services remains excellent, however Reebie has slipped in our Division 1 rankings since our last article.  In March we were ranked in 9th position with a cumulative rating of 4.72.  Currently we are ranked in 10th position, however our cumulative rating has increased to a 4.74.  This means we are improving our quality but our competition is improving at a quicker rate.  Our excellent scores are in large part due to our wonderful Master Mover fleet.  During the Spring ranking period, we ended up with nine Master Movers and four Top 20 Drivers.  Once again, I would like to congratulate and thank the following drivers for their continued success:  Ivan Carranza, Roy Carranza, Vance Carswell, Charles Falesch, Moises Gomez, Gaspar Ocampo, Ladislao Roman, Denis Robinson, Frank Russell, Raul Samano, Marek Stachowiak, Jimmy Young, and Fausto Zacapa.

Two drivers that deserve special recognition are Jimmy Young and Vance Carswsell.  Jimmy Young was awarded the Allied Van Line’s Driver of the Month for March of 2025 and Vance Carswell was awarded the Allied Van Line’s Driver of the Month for May of 2025.  Out of the entire Allied system, Reebie has two out of the five awards so far this year.  Both of these drivers are now eligible for Allied’s Driver of the Year award that will be announced early next year.  With over half of the year left to go, let’s see if we can get another name, or perhaps two, thrown into the mix!

I would like to end this quarter’s article with a quote that celebrates teamwork, hard work, and camaraderie:

“The Strength of the team is each individual member.  The strength of each member is the team.” – Phil Jackson

This quote from the former Chicago Bulls coach emphasizes the mutual reliance within a successful team.  Each individual’s contribution is vital for the team’s overall success, and conversely, the team’s strength empowers and supports its individual members.

Sincerely,

Jeff
