OPERATIONS: JEFF ABBS – Page 6

We are finally in our peak season and our operations are running at full steam.  The weather has been nice and demand for our business is strong.  Our revenue is up very slightly year over year thanks to a few business segments that are performing very well; in particular our Office & Industrial business which is up 32% and our International business which is up 25%.  Some other segments which are doing well include Databank, Store Your Things, Packing, and our Naperville Warehouse.  I am very grateful that Reebie has a diverse business portfolio and I hope you can appreciate how beneficial that is to our overall health.

The overall quality for our services remains excellent, however we have slipped in our Division 1 rankings due to a poor performance in May.  So far, our quality scores for June are exceptionally better so hopefully we will see a better ranking next month.  Our excellent scores are in large part due to our wonderful Master Mover fleet.  During the Spring ranking, we ended up with seven Master Movers and several other drivers who just missed the mark this time around.  Please congratulate the following drivers for their success:  Ivan Carranza, Roy Carranza, Freddie Chaney, Frank Russell, Marek Stachowiak, Jonathan Valdovinos, and Fausto Zacapa.

I wanted to take a moment to welcome aboard some of our newest Independent Contractors and provide some updates.  Michael Falesch is the newest addition to our interstate fleet and brings his years of experience in the industry.  Jose Avila, who might be a familiar face to some, has re-joined our fleet as an owner-operator for interstate.  In addition, Ladislao Roman has been promoted from our local fleet to an interstate operator.  We’ve also added Martin Roman and his crew to our local contractor fleet and Adrian De La Cruz, a prominent mover based out of our Naperville facility, is currently transitioning into a local contractor as well.  If you interact with any of these drivers, please welcome them aboard and congratulate them for their success.

It’s always nice to end on a positive note and with that I would like to congratulate our Safety Committee for once again being awarded 2nd place in this year’s “AAA Vanliner Excellence in Loss Prevention Safety Award Contest”.  Our Safety program has earned us this prestigious award year after year and it is something we should all be very proud of.  I am saddened to say, however, that this was the final year of the contest, at least in its current form.  Reebie was awarded either 1st or 2nd place in each of the eleven years that the contest took place.

I will leave you today with a simple, but powerful quote from The Buddha: “Our life is shaped by our mind; we become what we think.  Joy follows a pure thought like a shadow that never leaves”.

Sincerely,

Jeff
