FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT: RICHARD LICATA – Page 2
As we close out the first quarter of 2025, I want to take a moment to share where we stand and acknowledge the hard work and dedication each of you has contributed in what continues to be a challenging environment.
We are still facing some headwinds this year. The recently implemented tariffs by the current administration have created some ripples across the economy. Consumer confidence has taken a noticeable dip, and as a result, people are hesitant to make large purchases—particularly when it comes to buying and selling homes. Naturally, that has an impact on our industry, and it’s reflected in our financial results. We are currently trailing behind last year’s performance—and, as you all know, last year was a tough one.
That said, there is good news! Our consumer interstate business has been a bright spot so far in 2025. While it seems to run counter to what’s happening in the housing market, we’ve seen a strong flow of leads from the Chicago area. Many of our competitors in the market have faced significant challenges lately, and we’ve stepped up to the plate to take care of those customers. It’s thanks to the skill, professionalism, and commitment of our team that we’ve been able to secure and service this new business.
As has been the case over the past year, our ability to stay diversified and think creatively about new revenue streams continues to sustain us. This approach remains critical to our success, and I’m confident we’ll navigate these times as we have before—together.
I’m also pleased to introduce a few new faces who have recently joined the Reebie team. Please join me in welcoming:
Max Reese, who is now part of our Store Your Things division.
Vanessa Zacharias, who has joined our Customer Care Team and is already making a positive impact.
Additionally, I want to recognize and congratulate some of our team members who have recently earned well-deserved promotions:
Gonzalo Carrillo, who is taking on added responsibilities as our backup interstate dispatcher.
Matt Turner, who was promoted from Store Your Things Assistant Facility Manager. After spending two weeks in Customer Care, he is now moving into Field Sales.
Yamilet Rodriguez, who has been promoted to our Accounts Receivable team.
Claudia Rangle, who has been promoted to Accounts Payable.
These team members exemplify the dedication and hard work that make Reebie strong, and we’re excited to see them continue to grow with us.
Thank you all for everything you do every day. We’ve overcome challenges before, and I have every confidence we’ll continue to do so. Here’s to a strong second quarter and the continued success of Team Reebie!
