OPERATIONS: JEFF ABBS – Page 6
As we enter the new year we are provided an opportunity to reflect upon the successes and achievements that we experienced throughout the year past. We can utilize those experiences, as well as our failures, to build upon our own personal wisdom. It is important to utilize this newfound wisdom and apply it to our lives as we forge a new beginning in 2025. Once again, we were presented with many challenges in 2024. People all across the country are dealing with a struggling economy. The costs associated with doing business continue to rise and the demands of our customers seemingly continue to multiply, making it more difficult to keep our quality scores in check.
Our Annual Awards Banquet in December gave us a chance to recognize some of our key players this past year. This year’s Mover of the Year out of Franklin Park was Jesus Ocegueda, Sr. Jesus has been with Reebie since 2017 and is one of our most reliable movers. Max Gorostieta won the award for Mover of the Year in Naperville. Max is an essential figure at our Naperville branch and is involved in many of our different operations out there. Our Intrastate Independent Contractor of the Year award was given to Lisandro Pulido, whose quality score in January was at a 3.91, yet through his hard work and dedication he was able to increase that to a 4.96 by the end of the year. Jimmy Young has a large presence when he is here at the office and was awarded as this year’s Interstate Independent Contractor of the Year. Jimmy earned this award through his efforts in customer service, production, and safety. A man of his word, if Jimmy tells you he is doing something, he never lets you down. Finally, our Operations Admin Employee of the Year is Abel Ruiz. What I admire most about Abel, is that he always faces a challenge head-on. He accepts the obstacles that are given to him and focuses on finding solutions rather than running away. Thank you, Abel, for everything you do for our team!
Congratulations once again to all of our 2024 award winners!
Lao Tzu, an ancient Chinese Taoist philosopher, once said, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”
As we take our first steps into the New Year, let us remember that we are walking into the start of something new. Perhaps this is a chance to make some positive changes in your life. Let us remember to be kind and compassionate towards each other. Let’s support each other, respect each other, and work together as a team in 2025.
Sincerely,
Jeff
