SALES & MARKETING – ANTHONY LICATA – Page 3

I hate it when SIRVA is right. In my last article, I warned that SIRVA has predicted business come to a dead halt in Q4. Not only were they right but it seems worse than expected. As far as sales appointments are concerned, last year we were down by about 30% YTD for Q4 going into Q1. This year, we are doing almost HALF of that! On the bright side however, there seems to be some optimism in the air.  Talks of interest rates coming down this spring and the housing market building pent up demand has Allied agents all over the country hopeful and optimistic. In speaking with some of our fellow Allied agents, I am grateful for the success that we DID have this past year. I am thankful for Reebies diversity in the services we provide. Rather than just relying on consumer work, we have become versatile in almost all areas that the industry has to offer (corporate, OI, storage, record storage, self storage, Smartbox). This way when one side of the business is down , we have the other services to carry the load (no pun intended). This versatility has put Reebie in a much better place than many of our Allied colleagues. Kudos to my father and uncle for recognizing the importance of providing a balance of service. If it wasn’t for that, it would be much tougher to survive this storm.  This is certainly a valuable lesson that I will carry on for the rest of my career. I am also grateful for our pending agreement with All Chicagoland. This will be a great opportunity for both companies and will put us both in a much better position to succeed. For all these reasons, I am very optimistic for 2024. I certainly do believe that we may experience a rough start, but its not how you start, its how you finish. Lastly, I would like to welcome Mike Licata to the consumer sales staff, Ruthie Bast to the domestic coordination staff, and Richie Licata to the Northwestern sales team. This is a great opportunity for all three of them to further expand their knowledge of the moving industry. Not only is that great for the future of their careers, but it benefits Reebie as well as everyone else when we have people who are well-versed in several aspects of the business. I hope that this leaves you all with as much gratefulness and optimism as I have. I would also like to wish everyone a happy, healthy, new year! Heres to year 144, Reebie! (since 1880)
