SALES & MARKETING: RICHARD LICATA – Page 3

I am happy to report we are off to a good start on the Allied side of the business. That is not the case for all our business lines, but we will take a win where we can. Growing our interstate business is important for the company because of the ripple effect it has on all the other departments. It not only keeps our interstate drivers busy with tonnage in the soft season, but it also trickles down to our local crews by creating work in packing & cartage pickups. For the month of Jan, we grew the Allied consumer business by 21%. The Allied system however is down 5%. That is a 26% improvement over the system. I don’t have the final numbers for Feb, but our registrations are up 44% while the system is down 2%. So we appear to be out performing the system. Our sales staff is also off to a good start in their pear rankings. We have 4 salespeople in the top 50 positions posted by Allied. That ranking is as follows:

Bill Ruecking              10th Place

Tim Granata                28th Place

Pete Nechi                   38th Place

Anthony Licata           44th Place

While it is important to start the year strong, we still have a long way to go. So we will need to keep our foot on the gas and stay focused as we have 10 more months to go.
