DATABANK: ROBERT LICATA – Page 5

Databank Department:

DataBank has returned in 2021 and it is “knocking it out of the park”.  The department is up 42% in revenue for May and up 13% in revenue for the year.  Those are some really big numbers and the most impressive part is they are doing it with less of a work force.  It’s truly a good news bad news story.  The good news of course is that they are up revenue.  The bad news is that the revenue is coming from the service of shredding cartons.  That trend is not good to the wellbeing of the department but  there was a pent up demand since 2020 saw that service almost nonexistent.  We are also seeing a tremendous uptick in the amount of daily runs and workorders produced per day.  Since business and government offices are finally opening up we are experience a more normal rate of activity .  We expect this trend to last for the rest of the year as their employees return back to the office and get back to a more normal course of business.

Please congratulate our 1st quarter bonus winners:

Ed Garza

Roy Marquez

Ismael Mendez

Enrique Juarez

They have been working consistently throughout this pandemic and proven their value to the company time and time again.  I am proud to have them on our team.

We also have quite a few new faces working for us this summer.  Brett Bauer, Vincent Gomez, Miguel Rodriquez and Ed Garza Jr. have all joined the DataBank team for the summer.  Hopefully they will gain some good experience in the working world and look back fondly on their days starting out in DataBank.

Account Department:

The accounting department will have their hands full this summer getting all the accounting work done in a timely manner.  I know that under Laurie’s leadership they will get the job done.    The moving cycle starts with sales then on to operations and ends up with accounting.  It has been a long time since we have  seen a work load as robust as we have we experienced this year.  We know that the accounting department will be the  last piece of the puzzle in making 2021 a successful year.   We are going to be a little shorthanded as we expect Yamilet to take some time off with the birth of her first child.  To plan for this event the accounting department has been training  Gonzalo to handle the operations payroll along with accounts payable until Yamilet’s return.  The whole accounting  team will have to pull together, and with Alicia Garza assistance, I am very confident that we will meet and exceed this challenge.

REEBIE STORAGE IS HIRING.  Please if you know of someone looking for summer work have them contact me.

Thanks and have a safe summer
