FROM THE DESK OF THE PRESIDENT: RICHARD LICATA – Page 2

What a great Awards Banquet we had to celebrate all our successes in 2021. For those that were able to join us – thank you! For those that couldn’t be there…we missed you and hope to see you there next year! I am glad we were finally able to get back together and feel a sense of normalcy.

When I took the helm of Reebie over two years ago, my plan was to not change too many things as Sal Manso left a thriving company. Well, that didn’t last long because the pandemic hit. Then all bets were off and we had to learn how to manage Reebie under a major pandemic. Thank goodness we were considered an essential business, so we were able to stay open and after a couple of months of uncertainty, we learned that there was a tremendous demand for our business. All the while the media spoke about the police, teachers, and nurses being heroes. They never mentioned who I feel are the true heroes; all of you! You all put yourselves in people’s homes and in harm’s way on a daily basis. So, you all deserve our gratitude and our thanks for your service.

It wasn’t too long when we realized how blessed were because while many small businesses were closing down and many people didn’t know where their next paycheck was coming from, Reebie was able to keep everyone employed and actually performing well.

This year, we hit some milestones……

But given all the great things we have accomplished the last couple of years, the thing I am most proud of was our ability to keep everyone safe! I am proud and inspired by the way our company has risen to all these challenges. So, thank you for your enormous contributions.
