OPERATIONS: JEFF ABBS – Page 6
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure what our summer was going to look like this year. The housing market is still struggling as interest rates remain mostly unchanged. The military conflicts occurring in the Middle East are creating global market uncertainty. However, all of a sudden it seems that we might have an enjoyable peak season after all. While our current financials show a modest increase in revenue at around 1% through May, we still have our work cut out for us. We are working hard to increase that even further and June is shaping up to be a promising month for us which will hopefully add to our revenue increase. With that being said, we must control our costs the best we can in order for that revenue to translate into a profitable year.
The overall quality of our services remains excellent, and Reebie has gained one position in our Division 1 rankings. In April we were ranked in 16th position with a cumulative rating of 4.74. Currently we are ranked in 15th position, however our cumulative rating has remained unchanged at 4.74. Our excellent scores are in large part due to our wonderful Master Mover fleet. During the Spring ranking period, we ended up with ten Master Movers and four Top 20 Drivers. I would like to congratulate and thank the following drivers for their continued success: Juan Aguinaga, Andres Bolanos, Ivan Carranza, Gaspar Ocampo, Lisandro Pulido, Denis Robinson, Frank Russell, Santiago Salazar, Jimmy Young, Fausto Zacapa, Vance Carswell, Michael “Flash” Falesch, Moises Gomez, and Marek Stachowiak.
Last, but certainly not least, I would like to once again welcome William “Bill” Popelka on board as our newest team member in Operations. Bill has been learning a lot about the moving industry and Reebie in general, and we are excited to have him here with us this summer.
“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.” – Phil Jackson
This quote from the former Chicago Bulls coach emphasizes the mutual reliance within a successful team. Each individual’s contribution is vital for the team’s overall success, and conversely, the team’s strength empowers and supports its individual members.
Sincerely,
Jeff
