OPERATIONS: GARY RICHIED – Page 6
Every day of every week we are taking a few steps on the road to recovery of our former selves. This is true with our business here at Reebie as well as socially. I am not just referring to the fact that workloads have increased to the point that many of us who were working from have had to return to the office, but also in our personal lives outside of work. Many of the professional sports teams are back in one form or another, when their not protesting that is, and we are able to meet friends for a drink or go out to dinner under certain guidelines. But most importantly, our churches have reopened.
It seems like this has taken forever when in reality it has just been a few months. No one is able to predict how closely we will be able to get back to the way things were, if ever, but I think everyone will agree that we are certainly on the right path. Some segments of our business are going to take longer like our international, the national accounts, and the office and industrial. While others are close to their historic levels, have reached them, or in the case of our local moves and storage have exceeded them.
Two things have remained constant through the fluctuations of business levels and the challenges brought on by Covid-19, and that is our quality and safety. Although the Operations Conference was cancelled in March for this year we were made aware of the recognition we would have received at it by Joe Wiktorowicz our Regional VP at Sirva. Nationwide we earned the distinction of being one of only two MVP agents, and we were in the Top 10 of the surveyed drivers, for which we won the Good Dawg award last year. In our region, we were the overall quality leader, in the top 5 of Military quality leaders, and the top 5 for CSA safety scores.
No one on our team exemplifies the care and quality of service that we provide our customers better than Cristobal Ruiz. As a regional independent contractor Cris provides service to both our local Reebie authority customers as well as our interstate customers under the authority of Sirva. We have always been aware of the outstanding service he gives our local customers and now Sirva has recognized him as the Allied Driver of the month for July. Over the past twelve months he has had a perfect 5.0 for customer service, zero claims, and zero CSA score. You could reasonably conclude that he was perfect. Congratulations Cris, and thank you from all of us for job well done.
During these times of demonstrations, looting, and rioting, I’d like to think that if we all focused on the advice of James Allen who said “Work joyfully and peacefully, knowing that right thoughts and right efforts will inevitably bring about right results”, things would get a lot better in a hurry. I can’t help but think that this is the way Cris Ruiz approaches his job, as he always seems to have a smile on his face.
I hope everyone has made it back to church. Please pray for the healing and peace that our country so desperately needs now as it faces the pervasive threat of socialism.
Peace and Prayers,
Gary
