OPERATIONS: GARY RICHIED – Page 6

Going into May the challenges of this pandemic continue. While somethings remain the same with social distancing and stay at home guidelines, new precautions of wearing masks and gloves and the use of sanitizers are becoming requirements. These along with all the normal issues that come with the moving business have made for a very stressful time for everyone, and I believe that we will be dealing with them for quite a while.

We have been very careful not to let any of the precautions we have taken to prevent the spreading of this virus interfere with the quality of service we are providing or the safe manner in which we are providing it. This is evidenced by the number of service providers who qualified for the outstanding rating in our most recent evaluation period.

It is even further evidenced by the recognition we received from our fellow Allied agents across the country who voted us “Agent of the Year” for the quality of service we provide to them and their customers, along with the spirit of cooperation in which we provide it. We were to be recognized for this dubious honor at the Operations Conference this year but it was one of the pandemic casualties and got cancelled. This award goes hand in hand with the “Good Dawg” recognition that we received from our fellow agents at the convention. I think it speaks volumes of the whole team that makes up Reebie, and what a great partner we are in the van line network.

It was very unfortunate for us that the Ops. Conference had to be cancelled as we have two drivers who reached great milestones in their careers and were scheduled to be awarded for their accomplishments at the conference. Tim Nesbitt, who incidentally is in his 25th year with us, was to be honored for his 30 years of driving. Frank Russell, who has won just about everything else this past year, was to be honored for his 40 years of safe driving. These are both tremendous accomplishments and we are extremely proud to have these two guys on our team. It’s a shame that the rest of the operations people from across the country were not able to show their appreciation for Tim and Franks miles and years of safe driving.

The quote this month is from W. Somerset Maugham who observed that “It’s a funny thing about life: If you refuse to accept anything but the very best you will very often get it.” This statement most definitely applies to all the team members I have singled out but also to our team as a whole.

I ask you to continue to pray with me to: “St. Anthony, you were challenged by change and new experiences so many times in the course of your life. Help me not to be afraid of the changes that will take place in my own life and to realize that by dealing with them I will grow in faith.” For God’s intervention in halting this pandemic.

Peace and Prayers
