SALES & MARKETING – ANTHONY LICATA – Page 3

I think I can speak for everyone when I say that it feels like peak season is coming early this year but that is not the case. At least not compared to last year. As COVID has begun to slow down and people have started to return to living a somewhat normal life, we were able to enjoy a much needed non-peak season to rest, recuperate, and regroup. Last year, we did not enjoy the luxury of a slow season as people rushed to move out of big cities, early retirement, or to live at a much more desirable destination being that they could now work from home; thus keeping us busy almost all year long. Unfortunately, the numbers thus far this year reflect that. Allied leads are down 6%, NorthAmerican leads are down 18%, and Local leads down 9%. Now of course last year was a very unique circumstance however in this industry you are only as good as your most recent performance and we would hate to step backwards. This year, it looks as if the sales staff is not going to have the luxury of being able to pick and choose what leads they deem as best quality so we will have to put forth the extra effort to convert what leads we have. Despite the dip in leads, the coordination staff still has their hands full with registrations and coordinating moves being down one person. Hats off to Angel and the team for stepping up while shorthanded and covering more ground than usual until we find another person to step in and ease the pressure on everyone. As 2021 certainly presented its challenges, ones that we have never seen before; 2022 is certainly presenting a different set of challenges in its own respect. Given the excellent performance from this team and staff last year through those challenges, we have continued to prove ourselves as the best in the Allied system. As this peak season approaches I can confidently say that I am proud and excited to see how this team performs in the upcoming season.
