Summer is over and it appears that business is slowing down considerably, largely due to the egregious decision making by the Federal Reserve Board and their intent to continuously increase interest rates throughout the year. As you know, mortgage interest rates directly affect the amount of new mortgage applications which in turn affects the number of people who require the services of professional movers. It seems that once again we are living in uncertain times so always remember it’s important that we stay focused on providing valuable services to our customers. It’s not all doom and gloom, however. Our third quarter appears to be finishing strong and our sales team is working diligently on their leads. They’re encouraged to bring in as much business as possible so that we can keep our movers busy this fall. No matter the situation, Reebie always finds a path to success because of our very solid foundation and of course all of our dedicated, hard-working employees. Without you we wouldn’t be able to prosper during these challenging times.
I would like to take a moment to recognize and congratulate Freddie Chaney for winning Allied Van Line’s Driver of the Month Award in August. Mr. Chaney has been with Reebie for over 16 years and is very well respected throughout the entire SIRVA system. He is currently maintaining a perfect 5.0 customer service rating and has a flawless safety record. Thank you Freddie, for everything that you do for our customers and for Reebie. Your experience and knowledge of the industry is invaluable to myself and your colleagues, and your kindness and generosity is invaluable to the world. We are all proud of you and honored to have you on our team! For anyone that isn’t aware, this award also comes with a nomination for Allied Van Line’s Driver of the Year Award. I can’t think of anyone who is more deserving of this award than Freddie, so let’s all root for him to finish the year strong!
Since our last newsletter we’ve also had an additional driver join our Interstate Fleet. If you haven’t already, please welcome aboard Mr. Charles Falesch to our team! Charles comes to us with several years of moving experience and has worked with some very well respected Allied agencies in the past.
Thich Nhat Hanh, a renowned Buddhist monk known as the “Father of Mindfulness” is quoted as saying:
“If we have the energy of compassion and loving kindness in us, the people around us will be influenced by our way of being and living.”
I would like to end this article by asking everyone to please be patient and kind to each other every day. And to please be generous with your kindness and patience with each other. If we live our lives with mindfulness and compassion it will spread further than our minds can imagine.
