SALES & MARKETING – ANTHONY LICATA – Page 3
This past quarter we were able to bring on two new additions to our staff. I would like to welcome Roberto Vinci (sales), and Jenepher Zuniga (coordination). Thus far, both have been a great addition to our team. We started off Q2 extremely short staffed in regards to our coordinators and Jenepher has been able to relieve and take off a lot of the pressure, making it a much better atmosphere and work environment. HUGE thank you to Kim Stevens, who was willing and able to step in and take over coordinating for one of our salespeople until we were able to get Jenepher on board. With respect to the sales team, it is without a doubt that we have currently the strongest consumer sales team at Allied and we have been for decades. Unfortunately though, our guys are not getting any younger. Although they are not showing any signs of slowing down (and I hope they never do), it is important to be prepared for the future and start training the newer generation. As my father says, “success breads success” so I want Roberto to learn as much as possible from the team we have now so that we can continue to be the powerhouse we are, for more decades to come. In my quarter one update, I stated how leads were down in just about every area, given how things have slowed down post COVID . It looks as if that trend still seems to continue as we return to normalcy. Although the amount of opportunities we are seeing is notably less, revenue is up. In the years past, Allied pricing levels went from level 2 to level 15; 2 being the cheapest and 15 being the most expensive. This year, Allied has extended that out to level 20. Given how fast we booked up last year, they felt that we may have been leaving money on the table and did not want to make that same mistake thing year. Rather than booking up and using all our capacity on less profitable moves, the new pricing is designed to make sure we are booking customers who are willing to pay premium dollar to use our services before we book up. Although not favorable among the sales staff, given how high some of our prices were; this change in pricing has worked out thus far. As I said, revenue is up so we are doing more with fewer opportunities which is great news. Given the economy we are currently in with raising gas prices, inflation, and talks of recession, I hope and pray that we will be able to continue this trend going into the third quarter. Now that we are full staffed and running on all cylinders, we certainly have the team we need to continue our success.
