OPERATIONS: JEFF ABBS – Page 6

While not a big surprise, and despite all of our optimism, this summer isn’t progressing as well as I had hoped.  For the first time since 2020, we’ve ended up leaving some of our capacity on the table in June.  Sales leads have been down and the market has become more competitive than ever.  From an operational standpoint, one of the best things we can do in order to help our sales team is by providing excellent service to our customers and generating positive reviews.  I am delighted to share with you that our quality scores are the strongest they have been in recent memory.  We are currently ranked fifth in overall quality amongst our peers of 80 agents in the Division 1 revenue category.  With that being said, I would like to congratulate our Master Movers who qualified this past ranking period.  Thank you for your service to our customers and your commitment to Reebie Storage & Moving as well as Allied and North American Van Lines:  Juan Aguinaga, Ivan Carranza, Roy Carranza, Moises Gomez, Gaspar Ocampo, Cristobal Ruiz, Frank Russell, Raul Samano, Santiago Salazar, Louis Springs, and Fausto Zacapa.

In addition to recognizing our outstanding performers, I would like to acknowledge some of our newest owner/operators and welcome them aboard.  Jonathan Valdovinos, a former employee of ours, who began his career as a mover with us in 2017, and took a sabbatical in 2020, returned this year and purchased his first truck to drive over the road for us.   Martin Lemus, who began his employment with us way back in 2002, has also purchased his first truck this year and is making waves with his rave reviews as a local contractor.  Finally, Ramon Arreguin, who started his moving career with us in 2005, and then took some leave from us in 2021, has returned and purchased his first truck in order to sign on as a local contractor with us.  I’m very excited to have these three gentleman on board and to have them working for our customers.

Last, but certainly not least, I’m excited to share once again that we were winners in the “AAA Vanliner Excellence in Loss Prevention Safety Award Contest”.  We took second place this year which means that in the ten year history of the contest, Reebie has won either first or second place each year.  We are all part of the safety program here, so this is something we should all be proud of.

Stephen R. Covey, author of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, explained “Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply”.  This is an important piece of wisdom that we can all learn from and apply to our daily lives.  Let’s listen to each other’s concerns with compassion and try our best to understand each other so that we can work better together to solve some of the challenges we face.

Sincerely,

Jeff
