DATABANK: ROBERT LICATA – Page 5

Robert Licata

Vice President and CFO

It is with great pride that I am having Michelle Abbs and Alicia Garza contribute to Reebie Raps in regard to the Accounting and DataBank departments.  Over the last few years they have both taken responsibility for their respected department’s success.

Michelle Abbs

Accounting Department:

We are still missing Kim Cushing and her fiery spirit since her retirement, but the accounting team has stepped up to ensure a seamless transition with Angela taking the reins. She is doing well and continuously learning the various duties of the AR position. Angela is currently handling all payments and locals, but since we will be hiring a scanner soon she will begin learning perm storage. Thank you to Claudia, Yami, and Alice for helping to cover the scanning until we have a replacement. We are thankful for the hard work and dedication of the accounting team.

As a reminder, the City of Chicago website has been glitchy so please be sure to email Claudia every time you submit a permit in order to ensure timely payment.

Alicia Garza

DataBank Department:

With the 1st quarter now over and a new season beginning, it brings new challenges. Every day as we are out driving to deliver and pick up I know safety is a concern. Warmer weather means more people out, along with more vehicles and bikes on the road. We have to be careful always, but more so now with everyone out enjoying the sunshine. I am very proud to say our guys have continued to go without any vehicle accidents. With the warehouse moving along in the same direction and getting busier, I am very excited to say they have also continued to go without any workers comp claims. I hope everyone continues to be aware of their surroundings.  Please stay as cautious as you have been in the past let’s have a good summer.

This year looks to be a continuation of the last couple of years in the moving industry in which we find revenue hard to grow and our cost increasing.  This is a bad combination.  Reebie has always prided ourselves on being very conservative in the way we conduct business.  We have always benefitted from having a diverse product line for that very reason.  If one or two  product lines are struggling the other business lines will keep us healthy.  One of our biggest strengths is storage capacity.  That product line alone keeps our cash flow moving even when business is slow.

Thanks Rob
