SALES & MARKETING – ANTHONY LICATA – Page 3

Well, continuing to report on challenging conditions is becoming increasingly difficult. Like many of you, I’m tired of having to keep asking myself the same question: when will things finally return to a more normal operating environment? Despite how tough things feel internally, it’s important to keep perspective. Across the Allied system, many agents are facing even greater challenges. Despite our business being down, our performance continues to outpace the majority of agencies in the network, and while that doesn’t eliminate our own pressures, it is a testament to the strength of our team and operation. There are agencies that have not turned a profit in the past three years

It has also been a frustrating cycle where, just as momentum begins to build, external factors in our world create new obstacles that slow our progress. These repeated setbacks have made sustained growth difficult to achieve.

I sounds like a broken record but thank goodness for business opportunities that we have managed to capitalize on such as the Milwaukee expansion, the All Chicagoland deal, and the Hanley Energy storage account which have all been significant wins for our business. In a typical market, opportunities like these would drive meaningful, exponential growth. In today’s environment, they have played a critical role in keeping us stable and above water. I cant wait to see what we look like when things go back to normal with this additional business

While overall activity may feel slower than we’d like, there are important developments underway that will position us well for the future. Allied Van Lines, in partnership with AAA, is actively investing in AI-driven technology to modernize and streamline our processes. These advancements include improvements to electronic inventories, driver trip management, accounting systems, shipment tracking, and even AI-powered voice operators capable of providing accurate estimates for smaller moves without the need to schedule an in-person survey. As technology continues to evolve, so do customer expectations. Today’s consumers demand speed, convenience, and immediate responses. These updates from Allied are long overdue and will not only make our day-to-day operations more efficient, but also enhance our ability to meet and exceed customer expectations which will without a doubt help us grow.

Last, with great pride, I would like to remind you that for the umpteenth time, Tim Granata has won Region 5 “Sales Person of the Year” for 2025. I would also like to remind you that it was this time last year that I was sending this same email but for Bill Ruecking who won Region 5 Sales Person of the Year for 2024. For the last 4 decades, Tim and Bill have gone back and forth representing Reebie in winning just about any consumer sales award Allied has to offer. 35-ish years later, nothing has changed as the two have not slowed down one bit. Reebie could not be more grateful to have two A-class representatives, and also 2 mentors, leaders, and teachers.
