Databank Department:

The DataBank department has started the year on a positive note.  There has been an uptick in the volume of pick up and deliveries for the first quarter.  Businesses and government agencies are starting to get back to work and that helps out record storage and the  economy.  DataBank is also adapting to the new way of doing business with a lot of firms still having their employees work off site.  We found that we needed to find better ways of getting our clients the information and cartons they needed to conduct their business.  Communication and flexibility is the key to being successful in this environment.

DataBank Surveys are coming back and we are sliding a little in our performance.  We have a rating of excellent in Representative services, Representative professionalism, Crew appearance and Time frame.  We are scoring a Very Good in Representative communication, Invoicing, Overall and Would recommend.  We have already addressed the issues with the accounts that rated us in the Very Good category and we will soon get back to having an Excellent rating in every category.

 

Account Department: 

We know that Covid 19 has effected every facet of our business.  Some much more than others.  For example Covid 19 has  put additional strains on our accounting department.  Due to the pandemic we did suspend all household goods and commercial auctions last year because we we did not want to put additional burdens on individuals or companies that are already struggling.  The accounting department is also putting an added emphasis on accounts receivable to make sure that we are keeping our clients’ accounts current and at the same time being empathic to their situations.  We are also going over the accounts payable to make sure that we are keeping our costs in check.  With just about everyone in the department working from home communication between each other and our clients is a challenge but I’m proud to say that the department has surpassed my expectations.
